2.1. Register for the Drupal 9 Certification Examination
Acquia’s certification examinations are available on Acquia Academy’s system. Therefore, to be able to register for the examination, you need to have an account on Acquia Academy. Acquia Academy account registration information can be found here.
Then, select the examination according to your needs in the ‘Certification examination’ section. Follow the instructions here to complete the registration process.
2.2. Information About the Drupal 9 Certification
Certified Developer Drupal 9
Du stated that Drupal developers, who have about one year of experience in working on Drupal projects, need to focus their attention on two sources: Drupalize and Drupal.org. After you have done your research, if it was through, it was not difficult to get the certification. In this test, the majority of the 60 questions focus only on general theories, both in the Front End and Back End sections.
Certified Back End Specialist Drupal 9
As the name of this certification suggests, the examination’s questions will focus more on work experiences in Back End. For example: questions related to practical work experiences, how to solve problems when implementing, etc. Therefore, in order to answer questions that require a broader and deeper understanding, we suggest that Drupal developers taking this test should have from two to three years of experience in charge of a Back End position when doing Drupal projects, and have a practical understanding of system operations (SysOps).

3.1. Some General Information About Drupal 9 Certifications
The Drupal developers’ abilities were evaluated in the examination based on the following criteria:
- Design, develop, and deploy Drupal 9 based solutions.
- Understand the core basic architecture of Drupal 9.
- Understand the most effective methods for Front End and Back End programming in Drupal 9.
- Develop and maintain applications using the Drupal 9 platform.
- Develop and deploy new Drupal 9 modules and themes.
- Customize and extend existing modules and themes.
The basic knowledge and skills required at this level should cover all of the following target areas and components:
- Professional experience using Drupal technology.
- Setup and configuration Drupal sites.
- Develop and deploy new Drupal modules.
- Develop new themes or customize existing ones: knowledge of existing themes, HTML, CSS, JavaScript/JQuery.

3.2. Acquia Certified Developer – Drupal 9 Examination Rules
Examination time: 90 minutes
Examination fee: $250
The examination consists of: 60 questions
Score required: 65%
The Acquia Certified Developer Drupal 9 examination assesses the knowledge and skills of Drupal developers in the following areas: understanding basic knowledge of websites, website building, Front End programming (theming) and Back End programming (coding). This examination is based on the Drupal 9 platform.
3.3. Acquia Certified Back End Specialist Examination Rules – Drupal 9
Examination time: 90 minutes
Examination fee: $350
The examination consists of: 60 questions
Score required: 70%
The Acquia Certified Back End Specialist Drupal 9 examination assesses the knowledge and skills of Drupal developers in Back End programming (coding). This examination is based on the Drupal 9 platform.
