The General Accountant plays a vital role in the financial operations of the company, ensuring the accurate recording of transactions, compliance with tax regulations, and preparation of financial reports. This position supports financial decision-making by maintaining organized accounts, preparing tax declarations, and assisting in monthly and yearly closings. The role also involves liaising with relevant authorities, managing AR-related documents, and handling ad-hoc assignments, contributing to the company’s overall financial integrity and compliance.
How You Can Contribute
- Post and process journal entries to ensure all business transactions are posting
- Invoices/ receipts: Print, store hard copy & upload soft copy to Drive
- Update accounts payable/ receivable and performs reconciliations
- Prepare balance sheets, income statements, and other financial statements
- Assist Finance Manager in the preparation of monthly/yearly closings
- Prepare VAS financial statement reports, Company income tax, PIT finalization
- Declaration report, monthly VAT & PIT report
- Check PIT, VAT, WHT reports to ensure the correct calculation & tax law application
- Prepare draft sales contract and other relevant documents related to AR activities
- Provide tax planning services with reference to current legislation
- Be responsible for all reporting related to finance/accounting to relevant authorities and parent company
- Involve in ad-hoc accounting /admin assignments as and when required.
- Other Ad hoc works as requested by management.
What You Need To Maximize Your Contribution
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in General Accountant roles
- Familiar with Vietnamese tax and regulation
- Able to use English well in both written & communication skills
- Proven ability to manage and lead a team effectively
- Demonstrated proactive approach to financial management and problem-solving
- Ability to work independently, meet deadlines, and manage multiple priorities with limited supervision
- Detail-oriented with strong analytical skills
- Ability to adapt to a dynamic work environment and handle ad hoc tasks efficiently.
