KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
Technical Leadership
- Lead Magento development teams to deliver high-quality eCommerce solutions.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to developers.
- Ensure best practices in Magento development, coding standards, and system performance.
- Review code, architecture, and technical design.
Enterprise Integration & System Connectivity
- Design and implement third-party integrations between Magento and enterprise systems such as ERP, Active Directory (AD), SQS, payment gateways, and inventory management systems.
- Build scalable and maintainable integration patterns using API-based and asynchronous communication approaches.
- Ensure secure and reliable data exchange between Magento and external systems.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to design integration flows that support business operations and system scalability.
Performance Optimization & Security
- Design and implement performance optimization strategies for Magento platforms, including caching mechanisms such as Redis and Varnish.
- Optimize database queries and application performance to support high-traffic eCommerce environments.
- Ensure compliance with PCI standards and Magento security best practices, including patch management and vulnerability mitigation.
- Monitor and improve system performance, scalability, and reliability across Magento deployments.
Technical Leadership & Team Collaboration
- Lead and mentor development teams in delivering high-quality Magento solutions.
- Provide technical direction and architectural guidance for Magento customization and integrations.
- Collaborate with product owners, project managers, and stakeholders to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
- Promote best practices in software development, coding standards, and technical documentation.
- Communicate effectively with global teams and stakeholders in fluent English.
TECHNICAL REQUIREMENTS
- Minimum 8+ years of experience in Magento eCommerce development.
- At least 5+ years of experience as a Tech Lead, Technical Architect, or similar leadership role.
- Strong expertise in Magento backend development and customization.
- Strong experience with Magento tech stack, including Headless and Template-based architectures (experience with both is preferred).
- Proven experience integrating Magento with ERP, SQS, AD, payment gateways, and inventory systems.
- Experience with performance optimization tools such as Redis and Varnish.
- Solid understanding of security practices and PCI compliance.
- Experience designing scalable integration and system architecture is highly preferred.
- Strong communication skills in English.
- Onsite office 4 days/week.
